Hornsby Residence

This project was a major addition and renovation of a two storey residence, located up a secluded long driveway in the heart of Bishopdale, Christchurch.  An extension was proposed to extend the Living Areas downstairs and provide two new bedrooms upstairs. Connections between the house and the garage to create internal access provided a platform for further accommodation. The changes were orientated for maximum exposure to sunlight, and to further utilise the large outdoor living areas. The customer was heavily involved throughout the design process, utilising 3D walkthroughs on their IPads to make key decisions on how the existing spaces combined with the new.
