This was a concept to consent design project in a new subdivision, where our goal was to create a distinctive street frontage and appearance for our client’s building. The project brief specifically called for a design that would stand out from neighbouring ‘standard’ designs.
The challenge with new subdivisions is they tend to provide smaller section sizes, which often creates a hurdle in providing a good street appeal while remaining compliant. Despite this, we were able to deliver a stunning design that met all our client’s requirements. We achieved this by refining and adjusting the roof shape to provide an eye-catching street frontage, and using the garage walls to create the illusion of an over-height, rectangular form, which adds to the building’s unique appearance.
