Barton Fields Residence
Complete Projects provided full residential architectural design services for this contemporary five-bedroom family home located within the Barton Fields subdivision in Lincoln, Christchurch.
The clients sought a modern home that would support everyday family living while also providing generous spaces for entertaining and hosting guests. In response, the design focused on creating a highly functional layout centred around a spacious open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area that connects seamlessly to a north-facing outdoor courtyard.
Careful consideration was given to solar orientation, natural light, and indoor-outdoor flow to ensure the home felt open, comfortable, and well connected to its surroundings throughout the day. Large glazing elements and thoughtfully positioned living spaces help maximise sunlight and usability across both the interior and exterior entertaining areas.
The home includes two separate living areas and a three-car garage, providing flexibility for larger families, visiting guests, and evolving household needs over time. The architectural form combines clean contemporary lines with durable, low-maintenance materials suited to modern family living.
