Translucent roof replacement
Complete Projects provided project management services for the replacement of translucent roof sheeting at an operational transport and industrial facility on Braeburn Drive, Christchurch.
Delivered on behalf of PMG, the project involved the removal and replacement of ageing translucent roof sheeting across warehouse and drive-through canopy areas to improve safety, compliance, and natural light penetration within the facility. The works formed part of a broader asset maintenance and renewal strategy aimed at improving the long-term performance and functionality of the property.
A key challenge of the project was delivering the construction works within a fully operational transport environment, with ongoing truck movements, forklift activity, and daily business operations continuing throughout the programme. Careful planning, contractor coordination, and staged works were required to ensure the project could be completed safely while minimising disruption to the tenant’s operations.
Complete Projects managed programme coordination, health and safety oversight, contractor communication, and project reporting throughout the delivery process. Particular focus was placed on risk management, operational interface planning, and maintaining clear communication between all project stakeholders during the live works.
The project was successfully completed within a condensed nine-day construction programme and delivered on budget, with detailed QA documentation and close-out reporting provided to support long-term asset management and compliance requirements.
This project highlights the importance of proactive project management and structured delivery processes when undertaking maintenance and upgrade works within active industrial and transport facilities.
